What Are The BMMAs?
Since 2015, the BMMAs have served as a powerful tribute to the resilience, dedication and transformative influence of mothers.
Organized by Mothers Matter Canada these awards have honoured both prominent Canadian mothers and outstanding participants of the Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) program.
In honour of our organization’s 25th Anniversary, we have reimagined the Because Mothers Matter Awards as a nationwide initiative designed to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of all mothers and mother figures across Canada.
This initiative invites individuals to nominate remarkable women who have significantly impacted their lives, highlighting the essential role mothers play in nurturing families and communities.
All nominees will receive a digital award certificate with a personalized message and a chance to win one of two prize packages.

Who can nominate someone?
Anyone can nominate a mother or a mother figure in their life. You can nominate your mother, a friend you admire or a mentor who has helped you grow!
Who can be nominated?
Anyone who resides in Canada, and is a mother or has played a maternal role in someone's life.
